Ben Gregg Debut Single Release to Radio 2009
Nashville, TN — Cupit Records’ country music newcomer BEN GREGG is set to release his debut single, "Radio Waves," from his forthcoming self-titled CD slated for an early 2010 release. The single will be shipped to Country radio outlets nationwide through CDX Vol. 481 on August 17th and is available for digital delivery through Play MPE.
Written by award-winning songwriter Jerry Cupit, “Radio Waves” is an uplifting, positive song about the fact that you can only send your girl a song by request at radio, she can also send you one back and you can’t do that with an Mp3 player.
"Jerry had just returned from a visit to his hometown in Louisiana and wanted me to hear a song he wrote down there,” says Ben. “While he was playing it, I knew we had something there and I could hardly wait to get into the studio to record it. When I heard the final cut, I definitely wanted it to be my debut single.”
“Ben Gregg is not manufactured talent,” said Jerry Cupit, Pres./CEO of Cupit Music Group. “He is talent manufacturing creativity. He plays and sings by ear as well as reads notes. He has an incredible range and smoothness in his voice making him a producer’s dream to work with.”
Ben can be seen on RFD-TV’s “Music & Motors” television series airing three nights per week performing “Radio Waves” along with additional songs from his forthcoming CD, participating in a NASCAR pit crew challenge and featured in several interview segments talking about his music and background.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and currently residing in Gig Harbor, Washington (a suburb of Seattle), Ben grew up in a musical family where he was inspired early by his mother’s musicianship as a pianist and vocalist. Ben, his twin brother and two sisters sang in quartets for many years. Ben’s musical influences include country greats Johnny Cash, George Strait, Barbara Mandrell and Brooks & Dunn, as well as Beach Boys and Chicago.

Lady Antebellum Unveils Lead Single "Need You Now!"
Nashville, TN — CMA's reigning "New Artist of the Year" and critically acclaimed trio Lady Antebellum is introducing the lead single "Need You Now" off their forthcoming Capitol Nashville sophomore album to radio stations across the country today. The single goes for official adds on Aug. 24.
Written by group members Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, along with co-writer Josh Kear, the song is an urgent plea for the kind of companionship that estranged lovers still yearn for in the lonely hours after midnight. The passionate track begins with a gorgeous piano intro and finds Scott's dramatic alto shining on lead vocals, while Kelley adds layers of soulful dimension to the stunning duet.
"A lot of the songs that we've written for the album so far, and this one in particular, are about what we are learning as we go through the ups and downs of different relationships," explains Scott. "All three of us know what it's like to get to that point where you feel lonely enough that you make a late night phone call that you very well could regret the next day. But you do it anyway because it's the only thing that's going to give you any relief in that moment."
Following on the heels of their first No. one hit and the biggest song of their career to date "I Run To You," Lady Antebellum has returned to the recording studio to put the finishing touches on their yet-to-be-titled sophomore album.
"We are pouring our hearts into writing this new album," adds Haywood. "The songs are more personal, the production is bigger, and I think we are in a stronger place vocally than we've ever been...just from all the touring we've done this year. We're really anxious to get home and get it finished."
