The decision to change their name from Teen Country to Cool Country came about when they realized they were reaching a broader audience than just teens.  The average age for listeners is between the ages of 15 to 29.  Cool Country will also add some new cool features!  Listeners can send in e-mails with their phone numbers included to request their favorite artist on the show.  When the artist comes into the studio, they may just call the listener up, and they would have the chance to talk to them!  Cool Country will also have contests coming in the near future.  Their main focus continues to be the guest co-hosts, and the live performances.  Each week, some of the hottest artists in country music come into the studio to co-host the show.  Gill has already had exclusive interviews with the artists Jimmy Wayne, Emerson Drive, Trick Pony, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley, just to name a few.  Cool Country can be heard in 7 markets in the US in 5 different states including Tennessee, Minnesota, Idaho, Texas, and Illinois.

The Cool Country website features exclusive interview clips, photos, and weekly polls.  To hear complete interviews, you are asked to call up your local station and request the show.
