Long Trip Alone
Dierks Bentley's new album "Long Trip Alone" was released on October 17, 2006 and includes the smash single "Every Mile A Memory." "Every Mile A Memory" was the fastest rising single from Bentley - and honestly one of the best single releases from him so far in his career.
DB fans had been anticipating the release of this album for so long and proved their support the first week of release (week of Oct. 25) - landing "Long Trip Alone" on the top spot on the Billboard's Country Albums Chart. That same week, "Every Mile A Memory" also landed in the number one spot
on the country singles charts (R & R) and hit the top spot on CMT's Top 20 Countdown as well.
"Long Trip Alone" is clearly Bentley's best project that he's released. Though, he has been consistent with his songs and style on all three Capitol Nashville releases, Bentley captures something more on "Long Trip Alone." The title track and Bentley's new single, "Long Trip Alone" gives off more of an acoustic vibe - but it works in his favor and is one of the top picks from the album. The video is also a nice addition bringing forth a brand new look to Bentley with the cutting of his long curly hair to his new short, clean cut look now.
"Soon As You Can" sums up every emotion of a man who loves his woman and will do anything he can to be with her. "When a man wants to be with his woman there ain't no way of getting their too fast. When you know who you want to spend the rest of your life with you want to start the rest of your life - soon as you can." "Soon As You Can" has a lot of potential and it'd be great to see it as a future single.
The production and musicianship on this record is unbelievable. Bentley has so much creativity with his songwriting efforts and he really knows how to connect with his fans. I think Bentley is on top of his game. He is out on the road constantly. He's found enough time to put together one heck of an album and he keeps coming back out with quality songs. These songs are what continues to push Bentley ahead of the others in the music industry. Bentley has a very unique tone to his voice and he commands attention with his new project, "Long Trip Alone."
