TOBY KEITH RE-RELEASES A CLASSIC CHRISTMAS --- Adds More National Media And Another Friend In Washington

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Chart-topping music maker and acclaimed entertainer Toby Keith released the multi-platinum album Unleashed in 2002, but the Dec. '08 re-release of his best-selling A Classic Christmas collection could share the earlier work's title. Or maybe more appropriately: "Unbundled."

The two-disc Christmas collection that was 2007's top-selling seasonal release has returned to stores as two separate packages, allowing music fans to select disc-one's secular holiday favorites ("White Christmas," "Silver Bells") or disc-two's spiritually-focused selections ("Little Drummer Boy," "Away In A Manger"). The CMT television special by the same name is set to air Christmas night on the cable network.

Speaking of TV airings, CMT has requested an additional airing of Toby's well-received 2008 feature film Beer For My Horses, which runs tonight (12/5) at 9pm Eastern on the network. This brings Keith's total number of national TV appearances over the holidays to a whopping 45, including the Larry The Cable Guy Christmas special (CMT), A Colbert Christmas (Comedy Central), and Songs For The Holidays (NBC).

B4MH was filmed principally in New Mexico, and Toby has become friends with Gov. Bill Richardson, who was recently named Secretary of Commerce for the Obama administration. This makes the second senior level White House appointment for one of Keith's friends, following the National Security Advisor post going to Retired Marine General James Jones.

Richardson hosted a dinner for Toby during his time in the state. The governor also attended one of Keith's shows, hanging with singer/ songwriter on his tour bus.

Toby Keith continues to add to his long list of friends this winter, as his Biggest & Baddest Tour extends its next leg beginning Jan.. 22 in Albany, NY. His current album That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy recently debuted at No. 1, and the first single "She Never Cried In Front Of Me" also topped the charts. His current single "God Love Her" is also heading to the top of the charts.  Keith has sold more than 25 million albums in this decade alone.
