Cut X Cut from the November 2005 Interview | www.countrymusiconline.net

"Leanin'"- a song we just thought was a ton of fun and we wanted to record because we expected that people would love it as much as we did.

"Sweeter Than Sugarcane" - heard it once and couldn't resist doing it.

"When The Tide Rolls In" - it's got personal meaning, straight from the heart. I was just lucky that the producer liked it.

"Hearts and Horses" - my biggest reason for doing this song is that conveys a message through an analogy that no one has ever said before, and it makes good sense.

"Sing Along" - this tune has a groove to it that is so identifiable and cool that I couldn't resist giving it a shot.

"A Kiss Away" - I wrote this song with one of my best pals, talented singer/songwriter Johnny Bulford. It is the first song we ever wrote together, and the second song I ever wrote.

"You Are" - we changed the original arrangement of this song a bit to see if it would work for the album, and we were pleasantly surprised. The song conveys a cool message of love from a guy to a girl through a bunch of funny, yet romantic metaphors.

"All Along" - this is one of the best written story-telling songs I've ever heard. My producer Ted Hewitt wrote it. It is just one of those songs that when I heard it, I had to do it.

"The Girl that Broke Joe's Heart" - when we first heard the song, it had more of a traditional feel to it, but the lyrics of the song hit me too good to pass this one up. When we went into the studio we just rocked it up a bit and it came out great.

"Nobody Does Nothin'" - this is another one of my favorite story-telling songs on the album. It just has such a cool Florida beach groove to it. I had to cut this song when I heard it.
